Next door to London’s largest real Christmas tree maze inside Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, another ice skating rink was open for business on Friday.

Yes quite few have started up again for winter, like Wembley Park, Somerset House and Canary Wharf but South West Londoners won’t have to travel to far to get their fix of gliding around on blades.

I popped down to hear some chilled sounds from a DJ who played rink side and watched a fiery performance while warming myself up with mulled wine and cider.

Guests got treated to a selection of street food stalls serving hot food like sausages and paninis, as well as mince pies and cookies, brought around the cabin area by stilt walkers painted and dressed in white
Plus there was a big red bus serving fish and chips for so you’ll be well fed.
Live ice carving also took place for two hours to create a pretty ice skate figure.
It’s definitely one to be enjoyed with the family and small kids are even given penguin stabilisers to help them move around on the ice.
The fairy lights on the trees really got me in he mood for Christmas so if you’re looking for something festive to do, head over to Vauxhall.
