My sister and I had a serious throwback to the 90s recently when we celebrated the launch of Shellys London being sold inside Schuh stores.

We always wore the brand when we were younger and got the chance to rediscover it at the Tommy Guns barber shop in east London.

We were kept fed with mini hotdogs served on Dogtown skateboards instead of boring serving trays and watered with gin and tonic drinks embellished with stripy straws.

All the footwear was displayed on styling stations which made a fun twist to the usual set up for an event like this. We sat back in comfy barber chairs and listened to the R&B sounds of DJ Emily Rawson.

The lovely folks holding the bash were also giving out transferable tattoos which brought up all sorts of memories. But this time around we traded in cartoon motifs for some rather cool metallic prints.
Check out the silver design I got. I reckon a combination of these in gold and silver could look great on the right night out!

Each guest left with a cool ‘Walk In Rock Out’ drawstring bag, it would have been handy to have one of these to carry a change of shoes on the way to event as my Primark Mary-Jane heels were killing me all day!

I would have loved to slip into some of these fab flats I saw or grab a sturdy heel like on the Mieri ankle boots displayed.

Will you be checking out Shellys London in Schuh stores? Let me know!

Used to love Shellys back in the nineties one of the only places men could get heels in large sizes.
